Concert of Gustavo Colina, the famous musician from Venezuela and virtuoso of the national Venezuelan musical instrument “kuatro”

On June 1, 2016 a concert of Gustavo Colina, the famous musician from Venezuela,took place in the assembly hall of BSEU. The concert had been organized by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Republic of Belarus within the events dated for the 10thanniversary of the first visit of the comandante Hugo Chávez to Belarus, opening of diplomatic missions of both countries and also in support of the Bolivarian revolution. At themeeting there were heads and representatives of diplomatic missions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Republic of Cuba, Republic of Ecuador, and also students and professors of BSEU.
Gustavo Colinais a virtuoso of the national Venezuelan musical instrument “kuatro”, professional musician and composer, the bachelor of music of Catholic university Cecilio Acosta, follower of such famous performing musicians as Felipe Amaya and Freddie Reyna; the special guest of the World guitar festival (Denmark), the International guitar festival of Antonio Laura (Venezuela), Charlie Byrd's concert in Washington Academy. Gustavo Colina is famous forperforming numerous solo concerts worldwide, including the Royal festival hall in London and the Carnegie Hall in New York. Musical albums of Gustavo Colina have becomepopular in Venezuela, the USA, Cuba and Spain.
During the meet-the-artist event maestro Gustavo Colina presented to the audience pieces of musicof famous Latin American composers Jaime Torres, Hernan Gamboa, Ramón Perez, etc., as well as compositions of his own. Besides, the guests from Venezuela acquainted the audience with other national musical instrumentsnamely“bandola” and “maracases”.
During theconcert all attendees could fully estimate the high level of playing the guitar, enjoy good Latin American music and experience expressional opportunities of Venezuelan kuatro.
