Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba in Belarus Gerardo Suarez Alvarez gave a lecture «Cuba Today» (in Spanish) on March 12, 2015.

In his speech, Gerardo Suarez Alvarez raised a number of issues related to the economic and political life of Cuba.

It was pointed out that the level of economic partnership between Belarus and Cuba should reach that of political relations. In this regard, two important agreements have been signed: thebilateral trade agreement and the agreement on mutual recognition of medicinal products and their supply. According to the diplomat, both agreements have already been ratified by the Cuban government.

HerardoSuaresAlvares also emphasized that the trade turnover between the two countries was growing. And in thefollowing years it will be increasingin line with the agreement on mutual supplies.
