May holidays in Venezuela

First Secretary of the Embassy of Venezuela, Gerardo Estrada gave a lecture on the topic «May holidays in Venezuela» on May26, 2015. Theseholidays are of great importance in the culture of Latin American countries. In his lecture,Mr. Gerardo Estrada was talking about the origin and specifics of the festival «Cruz de Mayo» not only in Venezuela, but also in the other countries of Latin America and in Spain.The Venezuelan guest demonstrated the main attribute and symbol of the holiday ? a cross decorated with flowers.  In addition, there was shown a video which helped better feel the atmosphere of this colorful festival.
